INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before using our helmet contained in this package, read this INFORMATION NOTE carefully.

Thank you for the preference you have given us by choosing our ANTARES helmet, we remind you that the minimum contents of the information note are set by current legislation (EU Regulation 2016/425). This helmet is a D.P.I. (Personal Protective Equipment) of II Category with marking in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425 and certified according to EN 397:2012+A1:2012 by the notified body n°2008 Dolomiticert, via Villanova 7/a, 32013 Longarone (BL) - ITALY.
The Antares helmet is a general purpose industrial protective helmet that meets the basic requirements applicable to it and the optional very low temperature requirement (-30°C) required by the regulation. is designed to protect the wearer’s head against the risk of injury due to falling objects. All materials in the helmet are harmless to the health of the wearer.

DISCLAIMER:

The use of the helmet is strictly personal, to be sure of the degree of integrity, protection and maintenance of the protection requirements. Work helmets can not always protect against damage or injury, it is good to take into account that there are no helmets able to protect from violent shocks. This helmet should only be used for the purpose for which it has been certified. In the event of an accident due to improper use of the helmet, the manufacturer declines all liability. The Antares helmet must be used by persons trained in its use and subject to the direct control of supervisors who guarantee their safety.

USAGE, MAINTENANCE AND EXPIRY:

Before using the helmet, read these instructions carefully; failure to do so may reduce the safety offered by the helmet. Before using the helmet check its integrity in all its parts. The helmet must be checked periodically, and in any case before each use, for the presence of any damage. It is the employer’s responsibility to choose the appropriate PPE, and it is the responsibility of the helmet wearer to verify its suitability. After a violent impact even if the damage is not visible replace the helmet, as it may have exhausted its ability to absorb further impacts and provide intended protection.
If the user has any doubts about the efficiency of the device, he must replace it immediately, in any case after it has suffered a violent impact or shock. The protective helmet reduces the possibility of head injuries but does not exclude them completely.
Any unplanned maintenance or modification may affect the protective function of the helmet.
Do not compress it. Do not drop it. Avoid contact with sharp or sharp objects. Do not use outside the temperature range -30°C +50°C. Do not use it as a support or as a support. It is not permitted to hold or attach it by means of the size control device or the safety ring (point 4 of the nomenclature). This ring ensures quick release of the chin strap at a force of 150-250 N in case of danger. Make sure that the plastic safety ring (step 4) is intact, not bent or loose. In case of deformation it is mandatory to replace the helmet. Protect from chemical agents. Wash the device with mild soap and water, leaving it to dry at room temperature. The internal padding is detachable and washable at 30°, air drying is recommended. When not in use, it is recommended to store it at a temperature between 5 and 35°, protected from light and heat sources, away from chemicals. Do not remove the labels and markings on the PPE.
The use of paints, solvents or adhesive labels is prohibited, modifications, replacements and/or removals of any or all of the original components of the helmet. Wash the device with mild soap and water, leaving it to dry at room temperature. The life of a helmet depends on various factors that cause it to deteriorate, including temperature changes, exposure to direct sunlight and intensity of use. Scratches, deformations, cracks and marked marks on the shell are indicators of the state of deterioration of the helmet. In any case, we recommend the replacement of the helmet after about 5 years from purchase if in use and kept in optimal conditions, there are no spare parts or replaceable. There are no special arrangements for the transport of the helmet. In case of non-use, it is advisable to discard the helmet after a period of 10 years from the date of production indicated on the PPE. A competent person shall perform the Dpi checks at least once a year, recording all details.
